It’s definitely winter – I’ve been wearing booties over my bike-boots to keep my feet warm, even when it’s not raining.
I was overtaken by a <very rude adjective> Brompton on the upper stretch of Leith Street last night. I’m definitely not up to speed yet. Bah!
Solihull Council and Brompton provide bike-hire and bike-shelters at Birmingham International airport. I’m looking forward to flying from Edinburgh to Birmingham, then riding a Brompton to Worcester. The return journey might be more interesting, especially along the Droitwich bypass and A38.

Firstly, I’m much better than I have been. I’m by no means out of the woods but there is very strong light at the end of the kennel. (Thank you Nick Harper!) I’m to be treated as if I have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), along with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). (I wish I’d recorded the conversation with the GI specialist – then I might recall the link between these two conditions.) Continue reading
