What Elly said! And here’s the cyclemeter map. I’m quite pleased that before this recycling trip I cycled to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and back (about five miles each way) and felt reasonably capable on the slope up to Little France. (‘Reasonably capable’ here means staying out of granny gear!)

It’s taken quite a while to write this post – while my desk chair is more comfortable than the sofa, it’s not comfortable to be at for more than an hour or so.

I’ve just learnt that my colonoscopy will take place next Monday, 11 July. The private GI specialist will ‘arrange the colonic transit study with the radiologist’. I assume, but don’t know, that I will have to ensure I’m completely empty in time for the colonoscopy. (I’ve asked for details.) Continue reading
