So happy that Elly suggested waiting a day or two before getting bikes. We’ve been pottering around Zaandam, doing both holiday errands and sight-seeing. First stop supermarket = both of us like to have supplies!

Next stop coffee – we like fuel. Then purchase of leg-wear – photo of Bruce’s pipe cleaners to come! We walked through the Russian Quarter to Czar Peter’s House, but it’s closed on Mondays. Here’s some street-signs:

Elly’s idea was to walk up the east side of the river Zaan, then get a train (one stop!) back to Zaandam. So there has been about 6 miles of walking, enjoying!
