12th August: Duiven to de Bilt (near Utrecht)

Cycling and other travel

  • to de Bilt, near Utrecht (cyclemeter map)
  • distance 19·10 miles (373·62 cumulative miles so far)

Quite a hard day, although under 45 miles. My legs felt as if either they had no energy, or that Lev’s transmission was lubricated with grit and treacle. (I suspect it’s me.)

But it was worthwhile to arrive in a pretty part of the Netherlands, with a relatively short distance to cycle to IJmuiden.
