It’s unlikely that I’ll post more original stuff here. I’ve set up a wordpress blog for photos and travels – new material will go on that.
My photos from 2002 to 2014 photos are busy uploading to an unlimited-space host to get around issues serving them from my desktop Mac. (There’s nothing wrong with the Mac server itself but it’s a PITA keeping its IP address associated with a domain-name, and it goes through a very slow ADSL upload.)
Eventually I will start adding scans of my photo-albums to it – but don’t hold your breath.
I will of course keep checking into here to see what my online friends are up to. But for now, here are my online presences:
I regularly cycle to from Queensferry Street to my work at Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston campus. Having recently cycled from IJmuiden to Köln, I wanted to compare the two experiences.
In short, cycling in Edinburgh is utter rubbish. There is no way to avoid mixing with heavy traffic. Potholes abound. Cycle-lanes begin and end with no apparent reason, and lane-markings have faded out. Compare this nonsense with cycling in Dutch and German major cities.
With Jane and Ian; Heather, Dallas and Dusty, Alastair and Janet, Adrienne and Elly. Then back to Karen and Heather’s home in Bridge of Allen for beer and scones. And then to the Sherriffmuir Inn for more beer and large amounts of food – a perfect day!
to any followers who have just received a lot of ‘new post’ emails. I’ve been converting pages to posts. I should have done it this way round from the start.
