It’s unlikely that I’ll post more original stuff here. I’ve set up a wordpress blog for photos and travels – new material will go on that.

My photos from 2002 to 2014 photos are busy uploading to an unlimited-space host to get around issues serving them from my desktop Mac. (There’s nothing wrong with the Mac server itself but it’s a PITA keeping its IP address associated with a domain-name, and it goes through a very slow ADSL upload.)

Eventually I will start adding scans of my photo-albums to it – but don’t hold your breath.

I will of course keep checking into here to see what my online friends are up to. But for now, here are my online presences:

Coolness abounds

It’s always fab to discover consistency of good ideas in MacOS and related applications.

For a long time, perhaps predating OSX, command-clicking on a Finder window’s title bar has given a menu enabling movement up the folder structure. (It’s a compact vertical equivalent to OSX’s excellent column view.)

I’ve just discovered a similar trick in Safari, Apple’s own browser.

border=0

This allows movement up the folder structure on the external web server. Hurrah!

Incidentally, the graphic in the Finder window is the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology. That’s a simple theory. If you want complex, look here – and scream.
