• train (RJX62) from Wien Hauptbahnhof, supposedly departing at 12:28 but in reality departing at least 2 hours late
• supposedly all the way to München Hauptbahnhof, arriving 16:34 but in reality to München Ost, followed by S1 to München Hauptbahnhof
• stay overnight in Flemings hotel
• last hans im Glück for this trip

27 March

• train (ICE 518) departing München Hauptbahnhof (11:28), arriving Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (16:32)
• cyclemeter failed after 7 miles
• stay at Motel One
• evening meal at vegan oriental restaurant – yum!

28 to 29 March

• train (ICE 128) departing Düsseldorf (11:11), arriving Amsterdam Centraal (13:29)
  • cyclometer got some of this
  • bus from Amsterdam Centraal to IJMuiden
  • ferry from IJMuiden to North Shields, taxi to Newcastle, train to Edinburgh Waverley, taxi home
