Not much impetus to do a full blog. I fear it would be tedious if I tried to give all the detail. And my laptop isn’t connecting to the hotel wifi. So just the bare bones of what we did each day, the inevitable cyclemetering and a few photos that I like. I can put up more photos when I’m back.
Day 9: Bregenz to Innsbruck
- cyclemeter map of our travels. As ever, cyclemeter got a little confused as to where we were
- Innsbruck seems to be build on a much more ‘imperial’ scale than Bregenz.

Day 10: having got into Austria, it’s time to leave
- Cyclemeter of Innsbruck to Bolzano/Bozen, because we wanted to see Ötzi.
- The train out (going from Munich to Verona) was very crowded.
- Photography wasn’t allowed, so you just have to go and see him for yourself.
- The journey back, hanging trains at Bressanone/Brixen, was much nicer.

Day 11: wondering around Innsbruck
- Ist port of call – Stadtarchive and Stadmuseum. Small but fun
- We decided to go up into the mountains just a bit, via funicular, then sat and pondered whether to go higher. Eventually, the knowledge that we’d enjoy it a lot less than it would be worth to go in a cable-car that left the ground dissuaded us. So after returning to ground-level, we ambled along the Inn to see where the Sill joins it, then try Innsbruck trams. (Well, we have to try all forms of transport.)
- inevitable cyclemeter
- Eventually wifi will let me upload videos – not tonight though
