In this post-truth world, full of trumpty-dumpty dangers, we have to take our amusements and pleasures where we can. So I am rather tickled that of the four Macs in Servants’ Quarters

• the three that shouldn’t be able to run the latest version of MacOS (10·12, aka Sierra) are. They are a late 2010 MacBook Air, a 2009 Mac Pro and a late 2009 iMac.
• The lone up-to-date Mac, an early 2015 MacBook Air, which was bought in mid-2016, is still running MacOS10·11, aka El Capitan. No Siri for you!
